Walsh found guilty of contrary conduct charge by NRL judiciary
Brisbane Broncos fullback Reece Walsh has been ruled out of the State of Origin series decider after being found guilty of a contrary conduct charge by the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night.
Walsh was charged following an incident in the Broncos' 28-10 loss to the Parramatta Eels in Round 16, in which he was alleged to have made contact with the head of Eels hooker Reed Mahoney.
The judiciary panel found Walsh guilty of the charge and imposed a one-match suspension, ruling him out of the Origin III clash with the New South Wales Blues in Sydney on Wednesday, July 12.
Walsh is expected to return for the Broncos' next match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Saturday, July 15.
